Where is my analytics data stored?

All data gathered about your SharePoint deployment is stored in a securely hosted Azure SQL database, and using the Windows Azure Table Storage service.

Data in SQL tables is relational and structured, whereas Azure Table Storage is designed to store very large amounts of non-relational, unstructured data.

Based on independent audits, Azure is one of the world’s best cloud storage facilities.
